2. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7287 is an act declaring February 24 of every year a special nonworking holiday in the city of Cebu.


3. It was on February 24, 1937 that the City of Cebu was created.


4. The law that created the City of Cebu was Commonwealth Act No. 58.

5. Don Vicente Rama is the Father of the Cebu City Charter.


6. This year, we are celebrating the 77th Cebu City Charter Day Anniversary.


7. Cebu City is considered the third city of the Philippines. First was Manila in 1571 and second was Baguio in 1909.
