46 stranded passengers sought help at Cebu City Hall

Forty-six stranded passengers sought help at Cebu City Hall after the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ordered that no sea vessels are allowed to travel since November 7.

The passengers hails from Capiz, Cagayan de Oro, Surigao, General Santos, Bat Leyte, Bohol, Iloilo, Ormoc, and Bacolod.

Cebu City Mayor Micheal Rama offered shelter by allowing them to stay at the Legislative Building of Cebu City Hall.

Department of Social Welfare and Services was instructed by Mayor Rama to administer help to the stranded passengers.

They were given bed matts and blankets.

Among the stranded passengers were Danilo and Beatriz Buday from Dauis,Bohol, were together with their 4 children. They went to Cebu to attend the funeral of their relative.

They wanted to stay at Pier 3 but were not allowed so they looked for help elsewhere and they were thankful that Mayor Rama allowed them to stay.
