Last December 20, 2013, the world of Philippine fashion suddenly came to a halt… because the country’s leading master couturier, Cary Santiago, featured his Holiday Collection at The Gallery in Ayala Center Cebu.
The night before the event, the stage was prepared.
Technical rehearsals were also made.
The stage looked awesome from the top.
During the rehearsals, Bianca Valerio, one of the models for the fashion show, took a photo of herself when her image was shown in the projector.
The next day, people flocked at The Gallery to view Cary Santiago’s Holiday Collection.
Bianca had her makeup done by Cebu’s very own Emi Ayag…
…and she was the very first model to go out on stage, leaving the audience amazed with Santiago’s craftsmanship.
The Holiday Collection featured black and white designs inspired by animal forms and origami.
This masterpiece reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.
Santiago’s creations exude elegance.
Here’s another black ensemble to wow an audience.
Santiago’s pieces evoke reaction–the good one, of course! Here’s his take on combining black and white.
And did I mention that his black lace dresses are awesome! Yes, they are!
This was the best white piece from the collection. Simple yet eye-catching!
Time to review the Holiday Collection!
The models placed the stage on fire! (take a closer look at the winged dress)…
…and they all gathered at the center of the stage to honor the master couturier!
The fashion show was well-attended by his friends and colleagues, as well as fashion enthusiasts!
What do you think of Cary Santiago’s latest collection? Superb, right?
