DFA Regional Consular Offices in Yolanda-affected areas to resume its operations in November 11, 2013

Due to super typhoon Yolanda which badly hit a major portion of Visayas, the Department of Foreign Affairs Regional Consular Offices (RCOs) suspended their operations.

Operations will resume on November 11, 2013, today.

The RCOs of Puerto Princesa, Lipa, Lucena, Legazpi, Butuan, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Cebu were closed during November 8 and 9, 2013.

Keeping in mind that the safety of the passport applicants are of utmost importance, the offices have the structural integrity of the RCO buildings checked before resuming the operations.

In Tacloban City, DFA is still going to thoroughly assess the damage of their RCO and will take necessary actions to resume their services as soon as possible.
