In the wake of the devastating earthquake which struck Central Visayas, our homes may have been destroyed but certainly not our hope for a better future.
Of all the islands in Central Visayas, Bohol suffered the most damage during the earthquake, which was registered a magnitude 7.2 on the Richter Scale.
What we used to see as magnificent old churches back then are now ruins.
When I went to Loon, we were able to talk with a volunteer fireman who hails from Pasig and he told us that his sister had plans of doing her wedding in Loon Church. Since Loon Church is now nothing but a total wreck, her sister is looking for another option for her church wedding.
This idea brings us back on how to help Bohol stand up once again.
The path to total recovery is hard but is not impossible.
Global Hub Serviced Office is aware of this fact so they initiated a relief campaign with the help of concerned citizens and establishments.
In coopeartion withn Scandinavian Ecommerce, Keppel Canteen, Mini Stop, Sanicare, The Bookstore, Global Innovation Consulting and AZ Technical Laboratory Inc., Global Hub was able to collect food, water, and other supplies which can help around 300 families in Catigbian Bohol and Catigbian Rural Health Unit. The goods were shipped via Tubigon last Friday.
The mission dubbed as Uplift Bohol is geared toward helping Boholanos in gaining recovery using what they really know, humble ways!
