Katkat, katkats everywhere.

She is Rose Fostanes, 47 years old. Like most Filipinos, she was looking for a more greener pastures. So she became an overseas Filipino worker, went to Israel and worked as a caregiver. She never sang in public before until she auditioned in X Factor Israel. She never knew that joining the competition was paving her way to a really greener pasture. She sang Shirley Bassey’s ‘This Is My Life” during the audition, which was like a bomb ticking…

Standing ovation, right? She sang Lady Gaga’s ‘You and I’. (She’s a lesbian, by the way.)

Not just that, also the immortal Bohemian Rhapsody…

You see, the bomb was ready when she was included as the finalist. And then without any hesitation, she decided to sing the deadly Frank Sinatra song: My Way. It was definitely a challenging singing journey for her. Her choice was now or never, but My Way was a blessing in disguise for her; it was her missing piece.

A lesbian in a country where gender is a sensitive issue, and singing the deadliest song…Perfect suicide mission accomplished! Isn’t she brave?
