International celebrities from South Korea, Europe in the east to Hollywood in the west, in music and in sports, even including the pope expressed their sympathies to the Filipino people greatly affected by super typhoon Yolanda through social media, especially Twitter.

Celebrity peeps have expressed their support through Twitter, extending their prayers and urging their followers to help the Philippines in any way they could.

Based on weather history, super typhoon Yolanda is the strongest typhoon ever to make landfall in the Philippines.

Eastern Visayas sustained  severe damage, with 10,000 people are feared dead.

Buildings were toppled down while houses were wiped out.

Yolanda, with international name Haiyan, entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility last Thursday, November 7, 2013, and left on Sunday, November 10.

Below are the tweets from the Pope, Hollywood artists and international celebrities in sports and music showing their concern, heartbreak and encouragement  to the victims of Yolanda.
