My heartfelt greetings to the participants and organizers of this 26th MILO Little Olympics National Finals to be hosted by the Cebu City Government on November 29 to December 1, 2013 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Indeed, we, in the Department of Education, Region VII, truly believes that this event boosts the enthusiasm of our champion student athletes from both elementary and secondary levels, representing Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and national Capital Region. This is an avenue wherein they can showcase their excellence, drive, determination, and discipline in the field of sports. It is also an opportunity from them to be part of the premiere implementation of Senior High School under the Enhanced K to 12 Basic Education Program in Sports and Arts to commence in 2016.

The MILO Little Olympics is a sports competition that brings out the best of the physical prowess of our athletes and kindle their burning desire to be among the CHAMPION of the champions in their chosen sports events, thereby getting the rare chance to represent our country in future international sports competitions.

To all of you, athletes, coaches, and trainers alike, instill in your minds that it is not only the splendor of triumph that matters most, but it is sportsmanship and the highest respect of a true winner for his opponent, which exemplify the characteristic of a real CHAMPION!

God bless everyone! Mabuhay and 26th MILO Little Olympics National Finals!
