On March 29, 2014, the Philippines will celebrate the 20th year when it first connected to the global internet.
The commemoration of this milestone is even more special because internet in the Philippines was born in Cebu, in the University of San Carlos Talamban Campus.
In line with the celebration, TenMinute TALK, a project of tenminutes.ph, a Cebu-based website (with three social media channels having over 700k followers), is organizing an event dubbed as #PHNet20Cebu: Building Your Success Online.

The event aims to talk about the internet of yesterday and how key players see it, moving forward. It also aims to teach participants how to create a successful presence online.
We invited speakers from Cebu and Manila who have been playing an important role in the growth of the internet in the country.
We are privileged to have Ms. Janette Toral, the Mother of E-Commerce Law in the Philippines, Social Media and Internet marketing specialist, trainer and blogger as our main speaker. She will be talking about how potential e-commerce development could grow in the Philippines.
