There are about 3 million tourists coming to the country every year. What’s really about the Philippines that makes foreigners come back?

What do they usually say about the country? Well…

1. The hospitality

Kumbaga sa boxing, it’s a unanimous decision. Our hospitality is simply world-renowned and every person around the world agrees with it. Filipinos by nature, treat guests very warmly, even to the point that they have to lend money just to serve food (really lots of food) during fiestas.

2. The smiles

3. The fiestas

Sinulog alone attracts millions of visitors from around the world.

4. Almost everything is CHEAP

Many Korean students choose to study English here in the Philippines because it’s really cheap compared to other countries offering the same course. This is just one of the examples though. Other products are cheaper here compared to, say, U.S..

Except our internet… because of reasons that we don’t give a damn about.

5. The resilience

A year later and most of these people are still living in tents. But well, no breaking down. WE SHALL OVERCOME!

6. The drinks

According to a study, Filipinos are the third heaviest drinker in the world. And one of the factors contributing to this is our tasty alcoholic drinks like Lambanog!

7. Gender equality

We’re always one of the top when it comes to gender equality and in fact, just this year, we ranked 9th in gender equality (and the only Asian country in the top 10) in a report made by the World Economic Forum.

8. Of course, the beaches!

Not just the beaches, but the vacation spots! Pictured above is El Nido, Palawan, and it’s just one of the most captivating vacations spots in the country.

9. The New Year!
